Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain.

Information we collect

The Ekuba Project is a music website. We keep what we collect to a minimum and never sell personal data.

• Press kit downloads — when a promoter downloads logos, photos or the full press kit, we store an anonymised fingerprint (a hashed IP, user agent, referring site and timestamp) so we can see which assets are most useful. We cannot identify individuals from this data.
• Admin accounts — if you sign in to the admin panel (Google OAuth or password), we store your email, display name and profile photo so the panel can show who is editing.
• Server logs — standard web server logs with IP, user agent and timestamps are kept for a short period for security and debugging.

What we do not collect

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers or analytics beacons on the public landing page. We do not sell, rent or share data with marketers.

How we use the information

• To run and secure the website and admin panel.
• To show the artist which press-kit assets are being downloaded (aggregate numbers only).
• To respond to messages you send us at the contact or booking address.

Third-party services

Some pages embed players and share widgets from Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Bandcamp, Instagram, Facebook and X. When you interact with these embeds, those providers may set their own cookies and process data under their own privacy policies. We do not control that behaviour.

Admin sign-in uses Google OAuth. Google receives the standard authentication request when you sign in; we only receive your email, name and profile photo back.

Media uploads from the admin panel are stored in secure object storage operated by our hosting provider.

Cookies

The public landing page uses only short-lived session storage to remember UI state (for example, that you have already seen the logo intro animation). No tracking cookies are set.

The admin panel uses an httpOnly session cookie after you sign in. It is used strictly for authentication and expires on logout.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by writing to the contact address below. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page.
